Pat’s Run is a beloved 4.2-mile run/walk in Arizona that draws nearly 30,000 participants annually. I led the earned media strategy in the lead-up to the event, which included partnering with a local broadcast station to spotlight inspiring participant stories. I also coordinated 10+ interviews on race day to drive real-time visibility. These efforts resulted in over 150 media placements and a reach of 1.53 billion, expanding national awareness and contributing to record-breaking attendance.

To mark the Pat Tillman Foundation’s 20th anniversary, my team concepted and launched Acts of Service, a year-long campaign that mobilized our community to collectively reach 20,000 service hours. I supported the rollout across social, email, and web, encouraging participants to log their hours through a centralized tracker and share photos of their volunteer work on social. The initiative surpassed its goal ahead of schedule and drove a 25% increase in social engagement.

I produced the scripts, run of show, and stage visuals for the Pat Tillman Foundation’s annual fundraising gala, helping create a cohesive and emotionally resonant program that enhanced the overall attendee experience. I also led earned media efforts, securing pre-event media inclusion and a post-event print feature in Chicago Social Magazine. My work ensured the storytelling carried consistently across all mediums, extending the gala’s impact beyond the room.

I led a cross-channel Veterans Day initiative highlighting Tillman Scholars making an impact in their communities. As part of the campaign, I developed a feature spotlight on Nina Guerra, a Marine Corps veteran who helps fellow service members through equine therapy. I secured a podcast interview for her, produced a blog profile that generated 14K views, and created a supporting social post that drove over 300 interactions, leveraging Veterans Day as a strategic news hook to expand reach across channels.
